This weekend the GKC invites South America to Uxbridge!
The Chimes is embracing its cosmopolitan community and working to educate children on cultures different to their own throughout 2010 with the Global Kids scheme.
From Friday 5th - Sunday 7th, The Chimes has invited South America to Uxbridge, offering youngsters a taste of all that South America has to offer. Free workshops will take place including Mexican paper pottery, making necklaces and fridge magnets, plus music with rain sticks from Chile.
Plus see DanceFlavourz on 6th & 6th performaing a mixture of samba, cha cha, singing, salsa and workshops from 10am - 4pm
Following this weekend the Global Kids scheme will run on the last weekends in April, July and October from 10am until 4pm for children to experience the cultures from exotic lands such as Europe, Africa and Asia. Mini-shoppers can even pick up their own Global Kids passport and if they get three stamps from different workshops they will receive a free T-shirt!

Shopmobility is located on the cinema level of The Chimes (level 2). If you need assistance, just ask – a member of staff will always be on hand to help. But before you visit, it is essential that you call 01895 271510 or fax on 01895 271117 to ensure a vehicle is available for you.
Disabled car parking bays are located on each level, with Shopmobility on level 2. If you are a registered disabled driver, parking is free. Your entry ticket can be exchanged at either Shopmobility or at the Customer Information Desk on production of your blue badge.
